NO TRIAL AGAINST SR de Belgique
On the 12th February 2007, dozens of communist, unionist and antifascist militants have been arrested in several italian cities. The italian police was investigating on an underground organization, the Partito Comunista Politico-Militare, which published an underground journal and considered doing actions against a residence and a tv channel belonging to Berlusconi.
Among thousands of documents, the police found, buried in the vegetable garden of one of the arrested italian militant, the pictures of four members of the Secours Rouge de Belgique.
The italian secretly police gave the information to the belgian police. The latter spied upon the four and their circle using unprecedented means: hidden cameras in front of the places of residence, interception of phone conversations and mails, tailing, checking of all trips abroad by the scanning of the lists of the air, train and road companies, examination of old communications,...
In the complete absence of results after this spying, the investigating magistrate choosed to rush headlong and orderd a wave of searches and arrests, based on the post-9/11 new anti-terrorist law. At dawn on the 5th June 2008, the antiterrorist commandos, masked and armed, smashed down the doors and made the arrests. In two days, seven persons have been taken in for questionning in Brussels (six of them being members of the Secours Rouge de Belgique), and six have been imprisonned.
A media campaign repeated the huge lies elaborated by the police (‘explosives have been found’, ‘rebirth of the CCC’,...)
The questionings revealed that the main interest of the police was the activities of the Secours Rouge de Belgique. The charges’ grounds didn’t refer directly to them, but as in the case of the Suiss comrade (member of the International Secretariat of the RHI and of the Revolutionäre Aufbau Schweiz) sentenced last September to 17 months’ imprisonment for militant actions, the police and the justice’s work revealed very clearly that class solidarity is the privileged target of the repression’s organs.
The four refused to answer any question, as they refused to decrypt their mails, to identify the photos,... which is their right, but will anyway be evoked as an incriminating evidence.
On the 11th June, the court decided to free three of the militants. Abdel, Constant and Wahoub have been released on the 26th June, and Bert on the 29th July.
But the justice persists. It wants a trial, and sentences. On the 25th January 2012, a hearing will decide if arises the need to take a court action against the four of the Secours Rouge de Belgique.
It is obvious that belgian justice’s attack on the militants of the Secours Rouge de Belgique has to be considered as part and parcell of the international aggression against all the organizations which struggle against repression, denounce class justice et battle for the release of all revolutionary prisonners. These last years, several attacks on the forces taking part in the rebuilding of a Red Aid International have taken place in various countries. Criminalizing specific militants, the repression’s organs want to hit the construction of international class solidarity as a real political plan.
Against the emergency laws, the federal prosecutor and the class justice!
Let us raise for the stopping of the proceedings against the four of the Secours Rouge de Belgique
