GIA International Solidarity from comrade of Revolutionary Strug
At the end of the day what is the struggle for social liberation? Is it the ideas and theory that survive over the years, resisting the times and overcoming the weaknesses of the fighters that come and go? Are our ideas about the struggle more important than ourselves as fighters?
I believe that the essence of the struggle is the fighter himself who should be the mirror of his theory and should reflect this to the world. I believe in the fighters and in each one of them, in all of them collectively. To those who have not written a single page in history books, those whose loss not a single tear has been shed for. To those who worked tirelessly for social revolution without anyone ever knowing about it.
But there are some fighters whose person should become our flag and their names should be in our songs. Fighters who become our mirror for the world. Activists who demonstrate in the most difficult way for themselves, how beautiful the struggle for social liberation can be . Fighters who become the same struggle itself.
One of these fighters is Georges Ibrahim Abdallah. For over 28 years he has been confined in French prisons after serving his life sentence imprisonment that was imposed on him. Despite the fact that the French court decided to release him and deport him to Lebanon, after pressure from the U.S. he continues to be held.
Georges Ibrahim Abdallah remains a symbol of resistance to Western imperialim and Zionism. He continues to be a source of inspiration and strength for all of us.
In view of the international solidarity call on February 27, I send a big hug to comrade Georges Ibrahim Abdallah.
